The Murakami Katana Shinken is a handcrafted Japanese sword designed for martial artists and collectors who seek authenticity, sharpness, and traditional craftsmanship. Forged from 1060 high carbon steel using the Maru Kitae method, the blade is clay tempered to produce a real "Notare" hamon, giving it both visual elegance and structural resilience.

Featuring a bohi (fuller), the blade is perfectly balanced for dynamic movements and controlled cuts. The full tang construction, secured with two mekugi (bamboo pins), ensures maximum stability and durability during intense practice, making it ideal for Tameshigiri, Battodo, and Kenjutsu.

The handle is wrapped with black cotton tsukaito using alternate tsukamaki, ensuring a firm grip even with daily use. Underneath, real ray skin (Samegawa) adds both grip and tradition. The katana is completed with a Mokko-shaped tsuba, inspired by classical Japanese design, and a sleek black lacquered wooden saya.
