Musashi Kumamoto Iaito | Handmade Practice Katana with Blunt Blade for Iaido, Kendo & Kenjutsu

The Musashi Kumamoto Iaito is a handcrafted training katana built for the serious practitioner of Iaido, Kenjutsu, and Kendo. Designed to provide a realistic and balanced experience without a sharpened edge, this sword allows for safe and authentic practice in traditional Japanese martial arts.

Its 1060 high-carbon steel blade, crafted with Maru Kitae construction, features a Bohi to reduce weight and enhance movement speed. The blade is clay tempered, revealing a beautiful, traditional "midare" Hamon, offering visual authenticity while remaining completely blunt for safe training.

The full-tang construction is reinforced with two Mekugi (bamboo pins), ensuring maximum durability and alignment between the blade and tsuka. The tsuka is wrapped in premium black Japanese leather (Tsukagawa) using an alternate Tsukamaki pattern with Hishigami, securing a tight grip that holds firm during even the most intense daily practice. Beneath the wrap is genuine white ray skin (Samegawa) for added realism and strength.

Adorned with a traditional Musashi-style Koshirae, the katana exudes the spirit of the legendary swordsman.
