The Jintachi Shinken is a high-quality, handmade Japanese sword crafted in the tachi style, traditionally worn edge-down and used by mounted samurai. This fully functional shinken (live blade) is designed for martial arts practice including Tameshigiri, Battōdō, and Kenjutsu, and is also a stunning addition to any collection.

Forged from 1060 high carbon steel using the Maru Kitae method, the blade is clay tempered to produce an authentic Notare-style hamon. This version is made without a bohi, resulting in a slightly heavier blade that enhances cutting power and realism during training.

The sword features a full tang construction, secured to the tsuka with two mekugi (bamboo pins) for maximum durability and control. The handle is wrapped with ice grey tsukaito, providing both a modern aesthetic and secure grip, and paired with a traditional Aoigata tsuba that adds elegance and historical character.

The black lacquered wood saya comes with a Kikko-style sageo, completing the traditional tachi mounting. Like all YariNoHanzo blades, the Jintachi Shinken is perfectly balanced and passes strict quality control, making it suitable for both beginners and advanced practitioners.
