Tombo Katana Shinken – Superior Special Edition
The Tombo Katana Shinken is a sharp, handmade Japanese-style katana created for martial arts practice, Tameshigiri and collection. Its elegant dragonfly-themed Koshirae is combined with a full-tang, clay-tempered 1095 high-carbon steel blade for reliable handling and cutting performance.
Blade Construction and Performance
- Maru Kitae 1095 high-carbon steel blade

Traditional Koshirae and Saya
The Tombo Koshirae features elegant dragonfly-themed fittings, including a Shin-no-Marugata Tsuba with matching Fuchi and Kashira. The Tsuka is wrapped in brown Japanese silk Tsuka-Ito using the Hineri Maki style, with Hishigami and genuine ray skin Samegawa beneath the wrapping.
The 78 cm Saya is made from black lacquered wood in Kuroro finish. The Koiguchi, Kurikata and Kojiri are made from genuine buffalo horn, while the Seppa and Shitodome are made of brass.
This Tombo Katana has passed YariNoHanzo quality control and is supplied with a katana maintenance kit and a black/gold silk sword bag with fusahimo, both included at no extra cost.
