The Nobunaga Katana Shinken stands among the most iconic and appreciated swords in the YariNoHanzo Superior Series. Celebrated by collectors and martial artists alike, this katana is a perfect fusion of historical elegance and cutting-edge functionality—offering impressive aesthetics, cutting power, and refined balance.
Inspired by the enduring legacy of Oda Nobunaga, this katana features a bold and striking koshirae that delivers a commanding visual presence. The fittings are influenced by a historical piece preserved from the Edo-Meiji period, giving the sword authentic roots and a timeless spirit.
At the core of the Nobunaga Katana lies a high-performance blade made of 1095 high carbon steel, hand-forged using the Maru Kitae construction method. The blade is clay tempered, creating a distinctive Gunome Choji hamon, which is both visually stunning and functionally significant. The bohi (groove) lightens the blade without compromising its strength, enhancing balance and generating tachikaze (cutting sound) during swings—essential for practitioners of Battodo and Tameshigiri.
Though slightly heavier than other YariNoHanzo katana, the Nobunaga model remains remarkably well-balanced, making it ideal for both advanced users and dedicated students of Japanese swordsmanship. The O-Kissaki (extended tip) enhances its versatility, making it suitable for precise cuts and thrusting techniques.
The tsuka is wrapped in premium black silk tsukaito in the traditional Hineri Maki style, with hishigami inserted for a tight and consistent wrap. Underneath lies genuine Samegawa (ray skin), ensuring grip integrity and durability under frequent practice. The full tang blade is securely mounted with two mekugi (bamboo pins) for structural stability and safety.
The black lacquered saya is fitted with real buffalo horn koiguchi, kojiri, and kurikata, ensuring longevity and elegance. Each sword is supplied without sageo, and includes an elegant burgundy cotton bag, ideal for transport or presentation.
Each Nobunaga Katana is subjected to rigorous YariNoHanzo quality control, ensuring that every piece meets professional standards. Whether you are purchasing for practice, collection, or both, this katana offers an unmatched combination of heritage, functionality, and martial beauty.

The Nobunaga Wakizashi Shinken represents the perfect fusion of martial functionality, historical prestige, and modern craftsmanship. Part of the acclaimed YariNoHanzo Superior Series, this top-quality handmade wakizashi is designed to satisfy the most demanding martial artists and sword collectors around the world.
Named after the legendary daimyo Oda Nobunaga, the sword is visually bold and structurally flawless — a weapon worthy of its namesake. The koshirae (mountings) are directly inspired by an original piece from the Edo-Meiji period, and feature unique stylistic elements not found in standard production swords. This elegant design delivers a commanding presence, making it one of the most visually impactful wakizashi in the YariNoHanzo lineup.
The blade is forged using the Maru Kitae method from 1095 high carbon steel, a material renowned for its hardness and edge retention. It undergoes traditional clay tempering, which produces a vivid Gunome Choji hamon across the blade. A bohi (groove) reduces weight and allows for the generation of the tachikaze "cutting sound" in fluid movement.
Engineered specifically for Tameshigiri, Battodo, and traditional martial arts, this wakizashi is razor sharp, perfectly balanced, and built with a full tang construction, secured by a single mekugi (bamboo peg) for durability during intensive practice.
The handle is tightly wrapped with black silk tsukaito, using the Hineri Maki wrapping style with Hishigami inserts, providing superb grip and traditional aesthetic. Beneath the tsuka lies a layer of real Samegawa (ray skin) for added authenticity and grip stability.
The saya (scabbard) is lacquered in deep black and features real buffalo horn fittings at the kojiri, koiguchi, and kurikata, providing elegant durability and a luxurious finish.
Each sword is supplied without sageo, allowing practitioners to customize it according to their ryu or school tradition. It also includes a refined burgundy cotton bag for safe transport and elegant presentation.
The Nobunaga Wakizashi is an exclusive design by YariNoHanzo — a sword imitated by many, but only available here in its true and perfected form. It has become a favorite among collectors, martial artists, and connoisseurs of Japanese swords for its unique aesthetics and combat performance.
