The Iga Ninja To Shinken is a handmade, battle-ready ninja sword designed for modern ninjutsu practitioners and collectors of traditional martial weapons. Inspired by the iconic ninja-to seen in 1980s cinema—especially those wielded by Sho Kosugi—this version is not a movie replica, but a functional interpretation crafted for real martial practice.
Forged using the Maru Kitae technique, the blade is made of 1060 high carbon steel and clay tempered to produce a real “Sanbonsugi” hamon, a rare and striking temper line. The blade is perfectly straight, without a bohi, giving it an aggressive visual and solid feel for cutting exercises and kata.
Built for function and durability, the full tang blade is secured to the tsuka with two mekugi (bamboo pins). The handle is wrapped in black cotton tsukaito with alternate tsukamaki, providing a secure grip, and is matched with a square iron tsuba, typical of traditional ninja-to aesthetics.
The sword is completed with a black lacquered wood saya in kuroro gloss finish, keeping with the stealthy, minimalist look. It is supplied without sageo, and like all YariNoHanzo blades, it has passed rigorous quality control inspections.
Whether you're training in Ninjutsu, adding to a martial arts collection, or seeking a performance-grade ninja sword, the Iga Ninja To Shinken delivers the authenticity, sharpness, and durability you expect from a true shinken.
